About the role Invaio Sciences is seeking a strategic and connected Head of Business Development to drive growth through high-impact partnerships across the agriculture and food value chain, with a strong emphasis on leveraging an extensive network with agricultural companies and distribution retail in North America, South America and Europe. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will focus on forging alliances, expanding market presence, and advancing Invaio’s mission of sustainable innovation. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep industry relationships and a passion for transforming agriculture. What you’ll do
Strategic Partnerships:
Leverage a robust network to identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with agricultural companies (from startups to multinationals) and distribution retail networks across
North America, South America and Europe Market Expansion:
Develop and execute strategies to grow Invaio’s presence in key markets, particularly in North and South America, by tapping into established relationships with agribusinesses and retail distributors.
Commercial Strategy:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and align with Invaio’s mission.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Utilize an extensive network to build and maintain strong relationships with agricultural companies, distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders to enhance Invaio’s brand and influence.
Market Insights:
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, ensuring Invaio remains a leader in agricultural innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with R D, product development, and marketing teams to align business development efforts with Invaio’s technological advancements and product pipeline.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Biotechnology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership in agriculture, biotechnology, or related industries. Extensive and active network with agricultural companies (e.g., crop protection, seed, and biotech firms) and distribution retail channels at all levels in North and South America. Proven track record of leveraging industry relationships to drive partnerships, revenue, and market expansion. Experience in the agriculture or life sciences sector is highly desirable.

Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence agribusinesses and retail distributors across the Americas.
