The Opportunity AssetMark is seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our growing Product & Engineering team. This role offers an opportunity to accelerate a product management career at the intersection of wealth management and software design. We take a fulsome interpretation of the role of a product manager and aim to provide an environment in which passionate product practitioners can advance in their craft, working alongside seasoned product, design, and engineering leaders, and build wealthtech products that make a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Software Product Design:

Create detailed product specifications, wireframes, and user stories for wealth management software features

Technical Requirements:

Translate business and user needs into clear technical requirements for engineering teams

API & Integration Knowledge:

Apply and expand understanding of APIs, data models, and system integrations critical to financial technology platforms

Development Process:

Drive agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives for assigned feature areas

Technical Research:

Research and recommend new technologies and technical approaches that could enhance AssetMark’s wealth management platform

Technical Testing:

Define test plans and validate that software features meet both technical specifications and wealth management requirements

User Research & Insights:

Lead targeted research initiatives to collect and analyze feedback from financial advisors on software usability and digital experience

Data-Driven Design:

Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions and measure software feature performance

Technical Documentation:

Develop and maintain comprehensive technical product documentation, including feature specifications and integration requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Drive effective collaboration with engineering, design, and QA teams throughout the software development process Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong analytical thinking and logical problem-solving capabilities Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications Solid understanding of software development principles and processes Interest in financial markets, investments, or wealth management Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to various audiences Strong attention to detail and system thinking Proficiency in product analytics and data interpretation Technical skills in areas such as

SQL, API

Compensation:

The Base Salary range for this position is between $70,000

  • 85,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
