Job Description

  • What You’ll Do
  • The Digital Trust and Transparency Product Family is looking for a Product Manager to join our Enterprise Experience Enablement Product Organization!

Based on your background and expertise, we’ll consider you for a Product Manager 2 or Senior Product Manager 1 position. This team manages enterprise platform products that ensure responsible customer experiences across Principal, while supporting the progress towards enabling a world where financial security is accessible to all. In this role, you’ll define and execute key business outcomes for a platform product of low-medium complexity. You will also drive measurable outcomes throughout the product lifecycle, maintain frequent communication with your team and product stakeholders, and support Associate Product Managers in their development of product practices and knowledge.

  • You’ll be responsible for:
  • + Using insights and context to understand problems, support work breakdown, define value, and manage associated risks + Ensure successful product delivery by partnering with Engineering and Delivery Management + Monitoring and communicating measurable product health, impact of product releases, and platform progress + Collaborating with business leaders, finance, and vendors (when applicable) to manage product budget and forecasted cost expectations + Actively supporting Associate Product Managers as they develop product experience, knowledge, and skills Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives.

  • Who You Are
  • + 4+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through the following: work experience, military experience, or education + 2+ years working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced product environment with product or engineering teams and stakeholders + Experience leading multiple products and workloads with competing priorities in a product environment + Ability to lead, influence, and negotiate in product environments using diverse perspectives, data, and insights + Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success with stakeholder and relationship management in a product environment •

Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

  • Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

  • This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule, frequently starting the workday between 7:00-9:00am CST.

  • This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
