The Senior Product Director, Access Control will beresponsible for the commercial growth, innovation and success ofInVue’s strategic Access Control product portfolio. InVue’s AccessControl products, such as LIVE Locks, Smart Locks, the OneKEY andaffiliated software applications such as LIVE Access and MKey allowretailers to reduce friction within their stores, seamlesslyfacilitating access to merchandise for consumers and associateswhile protecting goods from unauthorized entry. InVue’s AccessControl connected solutions offer retailers the ability tounderstand who accessed what, when and where throughout theirestate real-time.
Reporting to the VP/GM of Retail, the SeniorProduct Director will collaborate with key customers, InVue’s salesteam, regional product marketing managers, engineering, andinnovation teams to create and manage product roadmaps, develop newproducts and business plans, and lead the commercialization ofthese products. In addition, the senior product director willsupport the continued success of existing portfolio products.
Thishands-on leadership and product management role requires productmarketing, innovation, business development, and channel strategyskillset. In addition, the successful candidate will be a keybusiness champion for access control. They will interface withindustry thought leaders, customers and strategic partners. She/Hewill also work closely with ELT, and department leaders inmarketing, engineering and sales to ensure the products’ valuepropositions are clear and correctly presented to themarket.
Responsibilities:
Embrace the leadership role of “Product Champion” for InVue’sAccess Control product portfolio Manage the entire product line and team from strategic planningto tactical activities Create and articulate a vision for the Access Control productportfolio Be the InVue expert on the lock industry and how it applies tomany verticals including retail, commercial, and officesegments Develop and execute winning product strategies for thecategories as measured by share gain, market position, and revenuegrowth and profitability Drive cradle to execution of the product life cycle for allSmart Lock & IR products-taking products from strategy and concept,through the development process and product launch, to a successfulramp and sustained commercial success Lead Access Control product management team Define product positioning and key product messaging for AccessControl products, including the industry standard OneKEY Partner with Marketing on the development of product launchactivities, data sheets, and outbound marketing materials Approach Product Management from a global perspective, takinginto consideration regional market and technical requirements Work with external third parties to assess business developmentopportunities and expand the InVue Smart Lock business beyond theRetail sector Energize and educate customers, partners, and sales team aboutthe Access Control category Engage and train direct and indirect global sales channels onnew products and category growth initiatives Collaborate with counterparts at other Assa Abloy businesses toleverage product, development and customer synergies. Work with sales teams to build key relationships within the topretailers to ensure that we are in the forefront Evaluate M&A targets for access controlcategory
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in product marketing, innovation,business development or product category management roles Experience working with large retail customers required Experience in electronic lock industry is preferred; experiencewith connected and or IoT product solutions required Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, Design or Engineeringdiscipline required; MBA a plus Proven history of impacting business both strategically andtactically International business experience required Effective communication, planning, prioritizing, and organizingskills Ability to productively collaborate with cross-functionalteams Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with anemphasis on creating “boardroom quality” presentations Proof of success in a fast-paced, multitasking globalenvironment Excellent voice-of-customer, customer service and problemresolution skills Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,Word, Power Point) Ability to travel upward of 30%, including internationaltravelInVue Security Products, Inc is an Equal Opportunityemployer.
