Job Description
The Senior Product Manager will be part of the Wealth, Trading and Product Solutions (WTPS) department and will focus on carrying out wealth management product initiatives. The Senior Product Manager will primarily act as a business lead on medium to large product projects within the Wealth Management business unit. This role will also ensure the maintenance of a healthy compliance environment by completing regular reviews of policies, procedures, and reports. Additionally, will respond to escalated product-related issues, and provide data analysis to support business strategy needs. Key Responsibilities Act as a business lead/subject matter expert on medium to large projects; responsible for providing direction from products perspective and working across the organization to drive projects forward. Ensure the maintenance of a healthy compliance environment by completing regular reviews of policies, procedures, and reports and identifying change; lead resolution of complex and non-routine advisor/client issues with internal/external partners. Provide research and analysis (quantitative and qualitative) from multiples sources and make recommendations to support business needs (e.g. product adds, platform changes, etc.) Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years’ experience, preferably in Financial Services industry focused on product development, and/or product management. Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days. Experience working on projects in various roles (Project Manager, Business Analyst, subject matter expert, etc.) Subject Matter Expertise on one or more of the following product lines: mutual funds, 529 plans, alternative investments, structured products, capital markets, insurance and/or annuities Ability to influence and collaborate with or lead across the organization and at all levels to drive results. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven organizational skills, including managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to think strategically, while being able to implement tactical plans. Proficient skill level in Microsoft Office data analytic tool sets. Preferred Qualifications Proficient knowledge and familiarity with multiple Ameriprise products/platforms. Base Pay Salary The estimated base salary for this role is $91,600 – $123,700 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location.
