Role:

We are looking for a strategic and creative Senior Product Manager to lead innovation initiatives that align with our organization’s long-term vision, mission, and values. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and driving new ideas from concept through execution. You will play a critical part in shaping our innovation pipeline and delivering impactful solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute an innovation strategy that supports the company’s overall growth objectives. Conduct detailed market research to uncover trends, customer needs, and competitive insights. Build and manage a strong pipeline of innovative ideas across products, services, and internal processes. Lead the development lifecycle of new initiatives-from ideation and validation to launch and post-launch analysis. Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities for differentiation and disruption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to drive innovation projects forward.

Required Qualifications:

At least 5 years of relevant experience in product management, innovation, consulting, or market research. Experience conducting and applying market research insights, including customer segmentation and competitive analysis. Proven ability to build business cases that support new investments and growth strategies. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Solid understanding of software development and related technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to solving problems. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Willingness to relocate to Cary, NC and work onsite four days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or other advanced degree. Experience in the rail industry, particularly with software or technology solutions. Exposure to additional logistics sectors such as trucking or ocean freight. Familiarity with SAAS product management. Experience applying Design Thinking methodologies and tools.
