Job Description

If so, this Product Technology Director role could be an exciting opportunity to explore. As a Product Technology Director, you will be responsible for leadership of the product Center of Excellence (CoE), with responsibility for ensuring that the Supply Divisions are technically self-sufficient for all New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, and ongoing product lifecycle support, in terms of product, process and device. This role will provide/gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Leadership of a team of Global Product Owners, Global Device Owners and Global Platform owners accountable for all technical aspects of the Haleon selected product business.
  • Accountable for ensuring appropriate Product Technical Review Team (PTRT’s) are in place for the dose form to drive technical governance for new products.
  • Proactively address technical issues and ensure knowledge and best practice is maintained and shared.
  • Overall accountability for the technical aspects of the product platform, including unit operations and equipment devices.
  • Responsible for Interfacing with the primary organisation, material sciences and working with device external suppliers to deliver the product requirements for GMS.
  • Represent GMS in the Physical Product Development (PPD) process prior to site allocation and thereafter provide expert technical guidance and support to the Site Technical Director.
  • Accountability for the stability of the manufacturing process for products within the DPI dose form and approval of the manufacturing process and controls section of relevant Regulatory submissions.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic technical direction for the GSK Technical organisation, including support of the technical change management process through the product technical review team.
  • Support standardisation of device manufacturing across suppliers and GSK sites engaged in manufacture of dose form products and components.
  • Support the site technical directors in the Product Lifecycle Management process for product forms and in setting and delivering improvement targets.
  • Maintain dose form knowledge and understanding in the CoE proactively exchanging information with counterparts.

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: + Bachelor’s degree + Industrial experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing /development + Experience in product design, process development and major product transfer + Experience interfacing with formulation science, analytical technologies, engineering, and packaging
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: + Master’s degree or PhD + Excellent project and process management skills within a complex matrix + Ability to operate in detail without losing sight of commercial and business drivers + In-depth knowledge of GMP and Regulatory requirements, including FDA submission
