PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Our client is a well-established Ladies, and Children’s apparel importer searching for a Product Development Manager for immediate hire. Must have strong fabric knowledge
Responsibilities:
Manage the development process for knitwear production
Develop time and action calendars for programs Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement
Involved in all product development and sales meeting projecting future fabrications Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.
Review final costing file to make sure it meets or exceeds the budget.
Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance. Approve lab dips, and the general flow of the process
Plan and execute a strategic sourcing plan to identify strategic partners.
Knowledge of fabrications- Cut Sewn Knits
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in apparel production and fabric development
Strong costing and negotiation skills Knowledge and understanding of fabrics and wash
Microsoft Office Programs
BA Degree
