Category Underwriting Position Type Regular Full-Time Overview Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. This is a multi-disciplinary role with responsibility for market intelligence, regulatory and/or underwriting operations and technical development and implementation. Responsibilities Develop, revise and maintain Coverage Form and Endorsement language to ensure terms accurately reflect underwriting intent and are compliant with state regulations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Underwriting, Claims, Legal and Technology teams for speed to market.
Stay apprised of regulatory and legal changes that may impact lines of business and policy language.
Research questions from the field both internally and externally.
Perform competitive analyses.
Assist with response to DOI objections, collaborating with Underwriting as needed.
Review system requirements with IT for programming, ensuring consistency with the approved filings. Qualifications 5+ years product development experience.
Significant knowledge of Commercial Lines insurance products and coverage offerings.
Familiarity with bureau forms, rates and rules.
Ability to interpret insurance rules and regulations and apply knowledge for the highest standard of compliance.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
