Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a hands-on, skilled and engaging Product Manager for our Reporting data platform, who can help us execute a vision for our scalable, configurable SaaS platform on the public cloud. This role will primarily focus on the data platform required for all of Clearwater’s products, while also contributing to our global strategy. As a Product Manager, you will also play a critical role in scaling our platform across asset classes and industries, creating a highly configurable data platform that powers all our analytical and AI products. This is an exceptional opportunity for a product professional with experience building data pipelines and financial technology software. In close collaboration with Sales, Product, Operations and Services teams you will strategically implement the high-level road map for our foundational data layer and enable the development of multiple product lines. You will report to the VP of Investment Data Management and will be responsible for defining market problems, develop user personas, document workflows, and build clear and concise requirements for major functional groups and opportunities within your product.

Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive Investment Data & Reporting roadmap in collaboration with product and technology leadership, clients, sales, client onboarding, operations, and platform engineering teams. Assess Clearwater products fit by market and client segments and build comprehensive roadmap to address capability gaps that justifies total addressable market and revenue growth Act as the spokesperson for the Product and communicate continuously with clients, internal stake holders Continuously evaluate current platform and build a vision for a highly scalable, automated and resilient data platform Work with technology and executive leadership to create multiyear, annual, and quarterly roadmaps and oversee their execution. Manage the product lifecycle, ensuring that products are delivered to the required quality standards Dive into details and write compelling product requirements documentation that meets customer demands in the market. Partner strategically with functional product leaders, market principals and at various levels across the organization, establish and maintain outstanding communication, and build/maintain collaborative relationships at all levels. Develop, and manage success metrics and present outcomes, insights and continuous improvement plans to executive leadership team. The ability to build coherent narrative, explain technical and product priorities and convince leaders of your vision and strategy are critical to long term success of this role. Stay abreast of competitive technology and market dynamics and apply insights to the CW product strategy and execution. Lead a product team to drive execution of the roadmap and provide mentorship across the product management organization.

Requirements:

Prior experience in Investment management industry with strong knowledge of Security Reference, Trade, Analytics, Pricing, Accounting, Performance data domains is a must have Experience in Product management role in commercial Investment Reporting platform with SaaS software or service provider is required Experience collaboration with Sales (product pricing, prospect interaction) , client onboarding and Data Operations (Business as usual state management) Demonstrated ability to build a scalable, configurable enterprise SaaS platform on the cloud, deployed across industries and geographies, migration to a componentized architecture, and capable of handling large amounts of data with low latency. Fundamental understanding of Cloud, database, data pipeline & information delivery technologies and operating model Ability to travel for Client/Internal meeting & workshops and industry conferences. 50% travel expected Proven ability to manage roadmaps for data pipelines, Data management feature/functions (Data Quality, Data Governance, Reporting) including execution, implementation, and influencing skills within the asset management space. Excellent communication and presentation skills, and commitment towards superior internal and external customer experience. Strong team leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills, with a desire to build exceptional products and deliver successful business outcomes. Knowledge and experience with end-to-end systems development.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other relevant technical discipline. 7+ years of experience in data management platforms in enterprise software with a minimum of 5 years in a product management role. At least 3 years of leading small teams of up to 5 PMs is required. At least 3 years of experience across one or more of these areas is required: master data management, ETL, data integration, data warehousing, and data lakes.
