Job Type:

Medscape Education (a division of WebMD) is hiring a Senior Product Manager. This role drives the strategic vision, operational excellence, and innovation for a set of our educational products, ensuring our alignment with business objectives and delivering measurable outcomes.

This role will consult with internal stakeholders within Education, vendors, and the broader Medscape Professional Network to build out the strategic vision set forth by executive leadership. The Senior Product Manager is expected to perform all product management duties including product portfolio management, ideation, partnering with stakeholders and cross functional teams, requirements gathering and project planning, documentation, and post-launch product evaluation and maintenance. Stakeholders and teams include business, editorial, production, design, QA, data services, and marketing.
They will drive the continuous improvement of the capability by representing the customer and business user needs, defining problems and developing solutions to enhance the capability.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop Medscape Education products and define what is needed to deliver them. Work directly with the hiring manager and product, data, reporting, marketing, and business development teams to give ideas life and carry them through infancy to launch and iteration, ensuring ongoing product-market fit.. Own and manage a complex and dynamic product roadmap, ensuring a balance between innovation and operational efficiency. Identify product opportunities and evaluate product market fit with stakeholders and via market research. Take ownership (i.e. defining, operationalizing and augmenting) of foundational and strategic capabilities Foster a culture of innovation and continuous discovery, identifying new opportunities to improve user experience and business performance. Supervise at least one team member to support and contribute to the broader function Partner with business development functions to introduce new solutions to the market Develop sound understanding of Medscape’s product portfolio, historical performance, educational impact measurement methodology, and data capabilities both internally and externally Tackle complex and ambiguous problems with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset Create recommendations and action plans for solving problems

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree 5+ years relevant experience Experience with healthcare or adult education products Expertise in product development methodologies B2B experience Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills High energy, disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and proven leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a highly matrixed environment is a plus

Salary Range:

$115,000 – $125,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results
