Role:

The cloudplatform enables low-latency, high throughput and criticalworkflows that power Confluent Cloud. This platform enables end toend management, monitoring, elasticity, security and orchestrationof the entire cloud ecosystem. We are looking for a senior leaderto build the global and regional control plane for all ofConfluent. This is a critical piece of the architecture which helpsmanage the product metadata, orchestration, and inter-productworkflows. The team builds high scale resource management and datamanagement services. In this role, we are excited for you to drivethe vision, lay the roadmap, and build out a high-performingengineering organization.

What You Will Do:

• Build global andregional control planes to help scale Confluent Cloud into the newera of streaming data services.
• Uplevel and overhaul operationalposture and excellence of the cloud infrastructure to support 10xscale.
• Build data management and orchestration technology thatcan operate and scale across top three cloud providers – AWS,Azure, GCP.
• Design automations, platforms, best practices andtools to enable disaster recovery of data stores, stateful systemsand stateless systems
• Partner with senior leadership in R Dto drive cultural, technical, people and process improvements in agrowing organization.

What You Will Bring:

• 10 years ofengineering management experience leading productive,collaborative, high-functioning teams in a cloud environment.
• 5years developing cloud native infrastructure software at globalscale.
• Experience building, managing and running large scaledistributed databases and data systems in the cloud.
• Demonstratedexperience in effectively influencing and working with the execteam using effective communication and collaborativetechniques.
