Position Summary

As a product development manager, you will support a strategic multi-year roadmap focused on transforming the role of pharmacy to support value based care providers and payers by improving health outcomes, reducing medical costs, and enhancing patients’ engagement and experience.
You will work on a transformative and highly visible offering launching this year with direct impact to patients’ medication access and adherence. You will support defining our strategy and roadmap, collaborate cross-functionally to implement, and use analytics to measure product performance and impact.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Product Development (estimated 40% of time)

  • Own test and pilot operations, including training, technology set-up, reporting, performance management, and insights
  • Lead end-to-end design and testing of prioritized initiatives and new product concepts
  • Align across functional teams and subject matter experts to execute work. Manage to appropriate timelines, accountabilities, and dependencies. Identify and mitigate risks to achieve timelines
  • Champion quality through continuous collaboration with legal, regulatory, privacy, compliance, and clinical teams through the development life cycle
  • Oversee the design and deployment of technology enhancements. Partner with IT to develop requirements as needed for projects
  • Facilitate meetings, working sessions, status updates, collaborative forums, and communications as needed
  • Partner with Sr. Manager to communicate plans, risks, and opportunities from working team up to leadership
    Product Performance Analytics (estimated 40% of time)
  • Independently measure key performance indicators on an ongoing basis. Create standardized reporting views to manage performance and provide recurring readout to senior leadership
  • Partner with advanced analytics to measure impact to patient outcomes, medical cost savings, and comprehensive quality measures (e.g., CMS)
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to influence stakeholders and make impactful, audience-tailored recommendations as appropriate
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to inform iterative and agile design improvements and make stage gate recommendations to cross-enterprise leaders
    Strategy Planning (estimated 20% of time)
  • Partner with enterprise teams to identify, size, and prioritize high-value opportunities, align on performance targets, and deliver integrated value across multiple business units
  • Support the Sr. Manager in developing an effective communication strategy for alerting both internal and external leaders of anticipated changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional working teams to refine and prioritize key initiatives and develop action plans
  • Drive efficient planning and ensure outcomes by implementing a strong project management discipline for action plans across your team and cross-functional partners
  • Navigate ambiguity and change to achieve goals despite potential obstacles
    This position can be located anywhere in the U.S. with the ability to work remotely or in a CVS Corporate Hub. This role will require travel to different locations throughout the country. The amount of travel will vary depending on our client’s need but could be up to 10% of the time.
    Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience of developing strategies for, implementing, and managing performance of healthcare programs
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a highly complex environment. Relevant sectors include retail, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals
  • Proven track record of influencing others with and without authority
  • Experience leading under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics in real time, and finding solutions that satisfy multiple ‘customers’ of the business
  • Experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions
  • Experience collaborating effectively across different business functions, different perspectives, and different styles of leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, very strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Travel
  • Ability, and willingness, to travel occasionally,
