Formulate, recommend and direct research and developmentprograms to meet Company’s needs for the improvement and or costreduction of existing products and processes, as well as theintroduction of new products and processes. Plans for the mostquality driven and cost-effective utilization of materials.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Provide project managementleadership to meet business needs Determines the appropriatematerials needed to achieve successful completion of initiatives.
Researches and monitors existing client base and industrydevelopments and identifies potential new product opportunities.
Applies knowledge of materials and recommends engineering andmanufacturing changes to attain design objectives. Lead technologytransfer to manufacturing Lead cross functional teams on projectsVisit customer facilities to discuss/resolve concerns relating toIP products and/or to work on new projects or products. Leverageinnovation and information from packaging and material suppliersProvide guidance to the team on projects Other duties as assignedResponsible for compliance with all regulatory, facility foodsafety, and quality policies and procedures including productsafety (GMPs) policies and procedures.
JobSpecification/Requirements:
Demonstrates expertise in a variety ofproduct development concepts, practices and procedures. Relies onextensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPositively lead and influence team members to partner together toachieve individual and business goals At least 10 years ofexperience in the field Excellent interpersonal and leadershipskills, and verbal and written communication skills. Completeunderstanding of Flexible Packaging. Complete understanding of rawmaterials, production processes, quality control, and costsassociated with production of flexible packaging and labelsComprehensive background, understanding, and experience with PC andMicrosoft Word, Excel. ISO experience is a plus.

Reflexes must be inexcellent condition for quick response time around movingmachinery. Employee must be able to react to rapidly moving partsin order to avoid serious injury to his/herself or other employee’slimbs or other life threatening injuries.
