Social Media Coordinator Merdzic Transportation Services Jacksonville, FL 32219 As a Human Resources Assistant, you will be integral to supporting the HR department in managing employee relations and enhancing workplace culture. Reporting to the HR Manager, your core skills in human resources and communication will facilitate effective interactions with staff. Utilizing premium skills such as talent acquisition and employee evaluation, you will assist in onboarding and performance assessments. Your relevant skills in data entry and HR software like Workday and Paychex will ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with employment laws. Requirements and Skills Help assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations Reviews, tracks and documents compliance Manage and maintain the payroll system Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions Collaborates with departmental managers for various tasks Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications Provides guidance with training, coaching, and development as you work with onsite leadership team to support each other Will create and use analytics, expertise and workforce trends to influence decisions that drive and improve company processes and programs Will have to posses required skill set in understanding and interpreting DOT laws and regulations Oversee workplace safety, identifying and resolving issues, and providing input for proposed modifications to facility and production processes Responsible for the coordination and conduction of orientation programs for newly hired employees, process all Personnel Action Forms (PAF) in HRIS, and other necessary correspondence such as LOA, COBRA, unemployment, severance, reference, and benefit letters Ensure that all personnel records are maintained in accordance with company policy and state/federal laws; upload electronic files to HRIS as applicable Implements and manages safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations Manages the administration of project safety, accident, and hazard communication programs to maintain safe work environments Manages the company’s Workers’ Compensation program; works closely with the company’s Ensures that all required records and reports are complete, accurate and correctly submitted to comply with all internal processes and comply with all local, state and federal regulations. Address employee issues and provide guidance on employee relations Handle employee disciplinary matters and grievances Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives Procure all office supplies, including break room necessities Job Schedule Full-time position Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm Must be located in Jacksonville, FL or willing to move to Jacksonville, FL Benefits Full insurance benefits (dental, health, and vision) after 90 days of employment Career growth opportunities Bonus pay Paid holidays Paid time off
