Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Portico is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interim Social Media and Website Coordinator to support our communications efforts during a time of transition. This temporary role is responsible for maintaining our website, managing our social media platforms, and helping to share the story of what God is doing in and through our ministries. The ideal candidate has a heart for ministry, a strong grasp of digital communication tools, and the ability to keep our online presence fresh, welcoming, and aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
Website Management:

Keep the church website updated with current events, ministry information, and news. Coordinate with ministry leaders to ensure information is accurate and timely. Troubleshoot minor website issues and coordinate with outside support if needed.

Social Media:

Manage and schedule content across church platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). Create posts that promote events, share spiritual encouragement, and foster community engagement. Respond to comments and messages with kindness and professionalism. Track engagement and provide basic performance reports.

Content Creation:

Develop content that reflects the voice and mission of the church, including graphics, short videos, and written posts. Use tools like Canva or Adobe Express to create visual content. Capture and curate photos or request content from ministry teams.

Qualifications:

Experience with communications and social media management preferred. Proficient with website tools such as WordPress, Wix. Strong writing and visual storytelling skills. Familiarity with Canva or other basic design tools.

From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 per week
