Assists in the execution of day-to-day social media responsibilities while working collaboratively with the Division of Student Affairs to properly promote services, events, and resources to the student body and key partners through social media, and other digital platforms.
Works within Student Creative and Media to plan, execute, promote, and distribute all social media and digital advertising from the various departments within Student Life and Development and the Division of Student Affairs (i.e. Fraternity & Sorority Enrichment, Center for Leadership & Service, Office of Academic Support Initiatives & Services, etc.).
Assists in developing engaging written, visual, and multimedia content tailored for social media audiences and platforms. Creates or edits content with multimedia tools when necessary.
Continuously monitors and analyzes emerging social media trends, platform updates, and analytics tools, ing insights to optimize campaign performance and improve audience engagement.
Implements assessments to measure and collect data from all digital content created and shared through the Divisions social media channels. Contributes to the development of reports on content impact and performance to build on and improve the FIU student experience.
Engages with audiences on social media platforms, such as responding to comments, answering questions, identifying potential issues and connecting audience members with respective university contacts, etc.
Supervises and trains digital marketing temporary staff, interns and/or volunteers, ensuring alignment with Division and University goals.
Collaborates with the Social Media counterparts within the Division and the University to ensure unified messaging in alignment with FIU branding.
Collaborates with Strategic Communications, Government and External Affairs to ensure brand integrity and alignment.
Supports the content calendar and schedules content according to Division and University priorities and submits completed content to FIU events calendar, PantherConnect, electronic boards, and other relevant entities.
Assists in the development of content strategy including, but not limited to, social media posts. Collaborates with the Creative and Media team in development of graphics, videos, and other digital content for social media platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field and one (1) year of experience working with social media in a communications, marketing, or public relations setting.
Experience in Digital marketing.
Adobe Creative Suite knowledge and design experience.
Experience with social media strategy and analytics.
