ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement social media strategy in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and create effective, breakthrough programming features and campaigns to achieve brand and revenue goals. Day-to-day management of all social media channels focused primarily on Orlando Pride. Week-to-week assistance of all ancillary social media channels, including Orlando City B, Orlando City Academy, and INTER&Co Stadium. Plan and execute social media calendar to ensure consistent, compelling messaging and programming. Proactively drive brand partnerships that can help create interesting content and engagement opportunities. Moderate and monitor fan conversations across all social channels. Work closely on execution of corporate partner initiatives to deliver value to events, sponsor activations, and promotions. Use data insights to help the team measure the impact and progress across all social channels. Use your phone to collect vertical content, ensuring high-quality and engaging material is captured for social media platforms. Guide the Club toward the most effective approaches and content per platform in order to maximize results, focusing primarily on popular and emerging platforms, such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. Drive traffic to www.orlandocitysc.com, www.orlando-pride.com and www.interco-stadium.com through effective and engaging use of content. Show the Club’s personality and voice through daily engagement with fans across all platforms. Drives content creation for own channels. Help manage backend content delivery for www.orlandocitysc.com, www.orlando-pride.com and www.interco-stadium.com. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To join our team, you will also possess these qualifications for the role: A degree or diploma, or related work experience in Journalism, Communications or Marketing preferred. 1-3 years of experience in social media, preferably with experience in managing multiple social accounts. Knowledge of the NWSL and its teams, including the Orlando Pride, and women’s soccer on an international level Experienced with analytics and driving continuous improvement in this area to ensure continual fan-focused decisions and programming. Strong writing and editing skills, with proven ability to write for social media. Familiarity with digital trends and technology, sports, and popular culture. Ability to work extremely well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment. Highly organized self-starter. Experience overseeing associates/interns. Strong track record managing social media channels for an established brand. Able to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays., in on-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere. Experience with content management systems is a plus.

Content creator mentality:

must be able to produce quality photo and video with a mobile device. Positive and a collaborative attitude is a must. Graphic design experience is a plus. HTML and CSS experience is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

About Orlando City SC & Orlando Pride:

In November 2013, Orlando City Soccer Club was awarded a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, becoming the league’s 21st franchise. The team began play in March 2015, with 62,510 fans packing the then-Orlando Citrus Bowl for the Club’s MLS debut. The Lions have reached the postseason in five-consecutive seasons (2020-24), qualified for the Concacaf Champions Cup (formerly Concacaf Champions League) in both 2023 and 2024, and reached their first final in 2020 during the MLS is Back Tournament. In 2022, Orlando City won its first championship of its MLS era, lifting the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophy, which also marked the first championship by any professional team in the City Beautiful. Former Orlando City defender Seb Hines serves as the team’s head coach, not only the first Black head coach in the league, but also the first to win both the Championship and the NWSL Shield, and the 2024 NWSL Coach of the Year.
