Full Job Description Who We Are:
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries about where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Role:
The Social Media Specialist reports to the Manager I, Communications and will work collaboratively to coordinate the organization’s social media presence. The role involves compiling social media content that aligns with the organization’s brand and strategy and staying current with industry trends and best practices to enhance Food Bank’s digital presence. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating, curating, and publishing content, as well as capturing the voice of Food Bank in social media post copy.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain Social Media Accounts Oversee day-to-day social media accounts including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms. Monitor and respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner. Maintain relationship with Feeding America to align with their communication strategy. Insights:
Implement social media strategies, in collaboration with the Manager, Communications, to increase brand awareness and engagement. Track, review and report social media metrics to improve engagement.
Content Creation:
Create and curate creative and engaging content such as graphics, copy, photos, videos. Attend Food Bank related events to capture high-quality photos for use in marketing. Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels. Create and maintain social media calendar. Create and maintain additional social media pages when needed.

What You’ll Need:
Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate: Strong working knowledge of all social media platforms including the features and functionality and awareness of emerging platforms. Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Suite, Sprout Social (or similar scheduling tools). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
