Walex Products Company, Inc.—a global leader in sanitation and odor control—is on the hunt for a creative, resourceful, and digitally savvy Digital Media Specialist to join our marketing team in Leland, NC. We make the world smell better, one RV, portable toilet, and marine tank at a time. And now, we need your help to tell that story—because yes, even in the poop business, branding matters. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves engaging communities through fresh and fun content, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves (figuratively, of course). We wear many hats at Walex, so solid graphic design experience is a must. Bonus points if you can boast about your website/WordPress chops—we love a multi-tool in our marketing toolbox.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute creative, scroll-stopping campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and whatever’s trending next week. Create engaging content—videos, Reels, photos, memes, and more—that reflect Walex’s voice and clean things up online. Write witty, on-brand captions that make people double-tap, share, and maybe even laugh-snort. Track analytics and performance metrics to see what’s working, tweak what’s not, and brag when it all goes viral. Work with influencers and brand partners—because sometimes it takes a village to talk about porta-potties. Support event and tradeshow coverage with live content and behind-the-scenes gold (some travel required). Use your creativity to design collateral/sales materials, digital ads, web graphics, and whatever else will keep our brand present and prominent. Great Fit If You Have:
3+ years of digital media experience for a consumer brand (CPG or outdoor space is a plus). 2+ years of experience designing materials for digital and print channels, including social media, digital advertising, website design, print advertising, and printed collateral (catalogs, brochures, flyers). A degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related. We would also entertain the school of “I’ve actually done this—and crushed it.” Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills (cleverness encouraged, typos not). In-depth knowledge with social media management tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and basic reporting tools. Solid graphic design skills for digital and print media with Adobe Creative Suite. Website design experience is a huge plus, especially if it’s with WordPress. Comfort working with influencers, user-generated content, and community building. Familiarity with photography, video editing, SEO, or running paid ads is a bonus. An appreciation for RV life, outdoor living—or at the very least, an open mind about talking toilets online.
