This role demands a unique blend of sharp journalistic acumen and cutting-edge social media expertise, thriving within a fast-paced news cycle. The ideal candidate is an independent, flexible, and quick-learning individual with exceptional on-camera performance and reporter skills. You must be well-spoken, possess strong Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency for multimedia content creation, and be motivated to manage both internal and external projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, write, and report compelling stories for various platforms, often performing on-camera. Develop, create, and optimize engaging multimedia content using Adobe Creative Cloud applications for social media channels. Lead social media content strategy, managing our digital presence and fostering community interaction within a dynamic news cycle. Proactively identify and cover news, conducting interviews and presenting findings clearly and accurately. Collaborate on internal and external projects, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a reporter with strong on-camera performance and well-spoken communication skills OR A strong desire to learn and adapt in this fast paced industry. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator). Experience in social media content creation and strategy. Highly flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a news cycle environment. Independent worker with a strong sense of initiative and a motivated, quick-learner mindset. Excellent research, writing, and editing abilities.
