The Purple Goat is a cozy shop and farmstand offering handmade soaps, lotions, soaps, bath bombs, candles and more! The scope of work also includes Glitzy Dip, a brand created by the owner of the business. Glitzy Dip is a DIY nail powder dip system.
Position Summary:
We’re seeking a creative, reliable, and organized Social Media Manager & Shop Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys storytelling through content, has a knack for capturing engaging photos and videos, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help out in the shop. You’ll spend your time helping with both managing our digital presence and assisting with daily operations in-store.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media & Marketing:
Create engaging content (photo, video, and written) for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) Schedule content consistently to grow followers and increase engagement Create and manage social advertising campaigns to drive foot traffic and sales Develop email newsletters with shop updates, promotions, and product highlights Track performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve results Capture seasonal and behind-the-scenes content at the shop and farmstand
Shop Operations:
Work as cashier during assigned shifts, providing friendly and efficient customer service Ensure all products are attractively displayed and shop is visually appealing
Qualifications:
Experience managing social media for a business or personal brand Comfortable using tools like Canva, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp (or similar) Ability to take and edit high-quality photos and short-form videos Outgoing and friendly with excellent communication skills Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skill Passion for local food, sustainability, or small business a plus!
Compensation:
Hourly wage based on experience. Opportunities for growth based on performance and business needs.
