POSITION OVERVIEW
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, enhance marketing efforts, and drive engagement across all social media platforms for Susan’s Kitchen family of companies. This role will also involve local public relations activities to enhance our presence and relationships within the municipalities and cities we serve. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for social media, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies
- Create and curate engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) for various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and native platform analytics.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and manage online communities to foster a positive brand image.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions to support marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, content creators, and other team members to produce high-quality content.
- Track and report on key performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies.
- Assist in managing social media advertising campaigns and budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
- Familiarity with SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media analytics tools.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Knowledge of paid social media advertising and campaign management.
- Experience in public relations, particularly within local communities and municipalities.
