IX. SPECIFIC DUTIES

The Technology Aide is responsible for assisting with the district’s technology operations and instructional support. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support daily operations and maintenance of district computers and devices.
  • Perform basic Chromebook troubleshooting and repairs, including screen replacements, keyboard fixes, and device configuration.
  • Manage iPad app deployment through mobile device management (MDM) systems; ensure apps are installed and updated as needed across devices.
  • Maintain knowledge of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals and district infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate competency with current operating systems, district-used software, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, report unresolved problems to supervisor.
  • Assist teachers and staff with effective technology integration into instruction.
  • Install, update, and maintain both instructional and administrative software.
  • Ensure the district website is consistently maintained and updated with accurate, timely information, including the addition of high-resolution photos to the website’s photo gallery.
  • Manage and update digital display boards across school buildings (e.g., lobby, digital signage and hallway displays).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional technology support workspace.
  • Maintain an accurate and current inventory of district technology resources.
  • Support the use of internet-based instructional tools and applications.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced educational environment, supporting both students and staff.
  • Complete continuing education, including self-study or assigned coursework, to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.
