Job Description:
The Veteran and Military Support, Hurlburt Field is directly accountable to the Director, Veterans & Military Success for the below listed duties and responsibilities. Act as the administrative assistant for the Veteran and Military Success Department.
Maintain a clean and orderly appearance of the main office, work/copy room, and assigned classrooms by submitting tickets related to Information Technology, Facilities, and Physical Plant.
Greet students and guests, facilitate sign-in/check-in, answer phones, and manage appointment scheduling for the Department.
Answers general student inquiries on admissions, registration, and available degree programs.
Assists in the collection of required documents for Tuition Assistance and VA Education Benefits.
May cover reception at the Veterans & Military Success Center as needed.
Perform cashiering functions as directed and trained by Student Accounts & Billing personnel.
Process and distribute campus and other mail services in a timely and reliable manner.
Aid in the distribution of passes, keys, and other base access-related items for faculty, staff, and students.
Maintain bulletin boards and signage to promote college programs, events, and information.
Hours for this position are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Complete annual mandatory compliance training.
As a part of the College’s risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Two years’ experience in an office setting preferred.
Experience using Banner records systems preferred.
