Job Description
Project Lead – Combat Skills Course This is a full-time, exempt position, contingent upon contract award Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead to oversee the overall execution, coordination, and administration of our Combat Skills Course (CSC) contract. This critical role ensures compliance with all contractual requirements, effective personnel management, and operational efficiency, serving as the primary liaison between government and contractor personnel. The Project Lead is responsible for the implementation of training programs, resource management, and quality control to ensure mission success for the Combat Skills Course.

Contract Execution & Compliance:
Ensure all Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements are met, maintaining compliance with DoD, NETC, and other applicable military regulations. Implement quality control measures. +
Personnel Management & Leadership:
Supervise all instructors, training coordinators, logisticians, and support personnel. Ensure all personnel meet qualifications, certifications, and security clearances, managing assignments for proper instructor-to-student ratios in high-risk training. +
Communication & Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the government and the contractor. Designate an alternate PL and provide updates, reports, and issue resolutions to the Contracting Officer (KO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). +
Training Program Oversight:
Oversee scheduling, coordination, and execution of the Combat Skills Course (CSC), ensuring adherence to approved curriculum and safety protocols. Coordinate with Training Coordinators and High-Risk Training Safety Officers (HRTSO). +
Risk Management & Safety Compliance:
Enforce high-risk training safety protocols per
OPNAVINST
1500.75 and
NETCINST 1500.13C.
Work with HRTSO to mitigate risks and ensure safety of students and instructors. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and accountability of all training equipment. +
Resource & Logistics Management:
Oversee logistical operations, including equipment requisition, inventory management, and supply chain coordination. Ensure training facilities and resources are properly maintained.
Desired Skills:
+ Project and personnel management experience, preferably in military or high-risk training environments. + Strong leadership and decision-making abilities in high-stress scenarios. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with government and contractor personnel. + Knowledge of DoD training programs, military operational environments, and NETC policies. + Ability to develop and implement risk management strategies for high-risk training. + Proficiency in logistics and resource allocation for training operations. + Experience in Special Operations Forces (SOF), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), or Law Enforcement Tactical Operations. + Prior military or government contracting experience in a training management role. + Familiarity with high-risk training certification requirements and DoD safety regulations. + Understanding of combat skills instruction, small unit tactics, and weapons training programs. + Ability to develop data-driven performance reports and training evaluations. + Full authority to act on all contract-related matters. +
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, military training, or defense contracting. + Four (4) years’ experience in High-Risk Training Safety (HRTS). + Knowledge of military training methodologies and high-risk training oversight. + Completion of a recognized military or civilian instructor training course + Prior experience as a military instructor or training program manager. + Certification in High-Risk Training Safety (HRTSO) or equivalent military safety programs.
