Primary Purpose:
The Standardized Patient reports directly to the Simulation LabManager and or Medical Director. The Standardized Patient portrayscharacteristics of a real patient, simulating signs and symptomsthere by affording the student an opportunity to learn and to beevaluated on learned skills in a simulated clinical environment.
Standardized Patients will undergo physical examinations bystudents as part of the medical students learning experience.

No Essential Job Functions:
1) Be highly dependable and punctual 2) Demonstrate flexibility and reliability with scheduling andassignments 3) Follow written and verbal instruction 4) Provide constructive feedback to medical students and fellowSPs 5) Work in a professional manner when interacting with learners,faculty, supervisors and peers 6) Be comfortable having repeated physical examinations 7) Be willing to wear a hospital gown with only undergarmentsunderneath, while on camera and/or observed live through anobservation monitor 8) Simulate all aspects of scenarios, including history of currentproblem, behavior and physical findings, in a standardized,accurate, and reliable manner 9) Accurately and consistently complete checklists 10) Accept ongoing feedback from facilitators and incorporate intocase simulation 11) Perform other duties as assigned.
