Company One Theatre & Woolly Mammoth Theatre Description:

Company One Theatre is seeking AEA and non-AEA actors for The Great Privation (How to flip ten cents into a dollar) by Nia Akilah Robinson, directed by Mina Morita. This is a co-production between Company One Theatre and Woolly Mammoth Theater in Washington, DC Philadelphia’s African Baptist Church, 1832: a mother and daughter guard the grave of their husband and father to deter resurrectionists from pillaging it for science. Today, on the same grounds: another mother and daughter work as counselors at what is now a summer camp. Timelines collide, reminding us to find joy in our present even as we exhume our nation’s buried past. The Great Privation will rehearse and perform in Washington DC on the following dates Rehearsals begin

All actors must be available for both sets of production dates to be considered. Actors from Boston will be housed while in DC but must have local housing for the Boston dates. Actors will be on an SPT 9 contract ($859 weekly minimum) for both productions.
