Miss Havisham loves Estella, and even Pip, but doesn’t fully understand that using them both as tools damages them deeply

For most of her life, Estella believes that she is incapable of love or empathy

Everyone who does have a dad like Joe makes the mistake of taking him for granted.

Miss Havisham’s first cousin and former suitor. Honest, principled, and unpretentious, Matthew Pocket would probably have made an excellent husband. He is well-mannered and well-educated, but not aristocratic.

Mr. Jaggers’s legal clerk. Eccentric, unassuming, and observant. The kind of transplant to a big city who bes more local than the locals. Often taken for granted by his superiors.

Elegant, intimidating, mysterious, and extremely intelligent

MISS SALLY POCKET
Transitions from a young, sprightly girl to an anxious, greedy spinster struggling to maintain the pretense of genteel poverty. As a young woman, Sally is more honest and clear-eyed than her sister Camilla but lacks the courage to follow through with her instincts.

COMPEYSON
A gentleman convict. Refined, charismatic, deceptive, and ruthless. Compeyson lies to everyone hees in contact with
