The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine love for teaching. This role involves working with students of all ages, fostering their love for dance while developing their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. The Dance Instructor will also play a crucial role in promoting creativity, discipline, and self-expression through movement. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging dance lesson plans tailored to the needs of students. Teach various dance styles including ballet, contemporary, and theater dance. Provide individual feedback and support to help students improve their technique and performance. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful space for all students. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to plan performances and events. Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and class activities. Stay updated on current trends in dance education and participate in professional development opportunities. Experience Previous experience as a dance instructor or in a related field is preferred. Background in special education, childhood development, or behavior management is a plus. Experience in tutoring or working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is beneficial. Familiarity with photography or theater can enhance the instructional approach.
