Dance Instructor and Choreographer Elevate Dance Studio 3525 Kedron Road, Spring Hill, TN 37174 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves teaching dance techniques, fostering creativity, and promoting a love for dance in a supportive environment. The Dance Instructor will also be responsible for developing lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners, including those with special education requirements. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging dance curriculum tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on ballet, ensuring proper technique and safety. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a positive learning environment. Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and focus during classes. Work collaboratively with students to enhance their skills and confidence in dance. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs. Choreograph performances to highlight student progress and achievements. Maintain open communication with owner/director regarding student development and class activities. Qualifications Proven experience working with students in a dance or educational setting. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners. Knowledge of behavior management techniques applicable in a classroom environment. Proficiency in ballet; additional experience in other dance styles is a plus. Background in theater or performing arts is desirable. Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool or younger students is beneficial. A passion for teaching dance and fostering creativity among students.
