Hip Hop Dance Instructor Studio Move Chapel Hill, NC 27517 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Hip Hop Dance Instructor to join the Studio Move team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hip hop dance and a commitment to inspiring students through movement and rhythm. As a Hip Hop Instructor, you will lead dynamic classes, choreograph routines, and create a fun, welcoming environment for dancers of all skill levels. Your understanding of movement and musicality will help students grow in confidence and skill. Compensation rate based on experience and performance. Responsibilities Lead group hip hop dance classes 1-10 hours a week. Work with us to define a schedule for teaching that works for us and for you! Teach age-appropriate choreography and foundational hip hop techniques for various skill levels. Create and implement engaging class plans and routines that build skills over time. Encourage self-expression, creativity, and a love of dance in every student. Maintain a safe and inclusive studio atmosphere for all dancers. Stay current with trends in hip hop and urban dance to keep classes fresh and exciting. Experience Previous experience teaching hip hop dance or leading group classes is preferred. Background in performing, choreographing, or competing in hip hop or street dance styles is a plus. Ability to connect with dancers of all ages, especially youth and teens.
