Music Director Sharon Congregational Church Sharon, CT 06069 Sharon Congregational Church, located in Sharon, CT is seeking a part time Director of Music.

Position Description Position Title:

Music Director, Sharon Congregational Church Payroll Status:

Part-time, 5 hours per week / Salaried Salary range: $9,500 to $10,500 commensurate with experience

Summary:

• To glorify and praise God and the Lord Jesus Christ in our Worship.
• To oversee all aspects of the music ministry for the Sharon Congregational Church.
• Committed and dedicated to using the talents and instrumentation of the church in the best manner while stiving to maintain the best standards possible.

Responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with the Worship Team in a leadership role to implement the Church’s vision for music ministry. SCC is a blended worship setting.
• Provide leadership for music ministries, including the praise and worship team. Willing to encourage the giftedness of the congregation where appropriate.
• Available to conduct weekly rehearsal(s).
• Work within the approved budget.
• Work with the Pastor to choose musical selections for the Sunday worship service, all being in harmony with the sermon text and or service theme.
• Schedule and oversee periodic maintenance of all church musical instruments.
• Option to play for extra paid functions, i.

e., weddings, funerals.

Qualifications:

• Must have a thriving relationship with Jesus and an upright character.
• Skilled with piano or acoustic guitar.
