Job Summary Bayside College is seeking a passionate, creative, and spiritually mature individual to serve as the Worship Program Director. This role is responsible for overseeing and developing the college’s worship programs, fostering an environment of spiritual growth, and leading students in authentic, Christ-centered worship experiences. The Worship Program Director will collaborate with staff, student leaders, and faculty to integrate worship into the life of the college community, aligning with the Bayside’s mission to develop Premier, Christ-centered Leaders.

Key Responsibilities Worship Leadership:

Plan, coordinate, and lead weekly chapel services, special worship events, trips, and other spiritual gatherings, ensuring they reflect the college’s Christian values and theological commitments.

Student Development:

Recruit, train, and mentor student worship leaders, musicians, and production team members, empowering them to grow in their musical abilities, academics, leadership, and faith.

Program Development:

Design and implement a comprehensive worship program that includes a variety of musical styles, creative elements, and expressions to engage a diverse student body.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the College Leadership Team to align worship experiences with the college’s spiritual formation goals and academic calendar.

Event Management:

Oversee logistics for worship events, including scheduling, rehearsals, production, and coordination with guest speakers or artists.

Community Engagement:

Foster a culture of worship that extends beyond formal services, encouraging student participation in prayer, small groups, and student life initiatives.

Resource Management:

Manage the worship program budget and maintain musical instruments and equipment.

Spiritual Guidance:

Serve as a role model and mentor, providing pastoral care and encouragement to students involved in the worship ministry.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in music, worship arts, theology, or a related field); a master’s degree in divinity, ministry, or worship leadership is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading worship in a church, college, or ministry setting, with proven ability to engage young adults.

Musical Skills:

Proficiency in leading worship vocally and instrumentally (e.g., guitar, piano); familiarity with various worship styles.

Leadership:

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with experience in team building and mentoring students or volunteers.

Technical Knowledge:

Comfortable with sound systems, lighting, and presentation software (e.g., ProPresenter, Planning Center).

Character:

Demonstrated integrity, humility, and a heart for serving others in a Christ-centered community.
