Director of Cloud Operations Position Summary:

The Director of CloudOps is a senior-level role responsible for leading the CloudOps team and driving the implementation and improvement of CloudOps practices within the organization. The CloudOps team manages the platforms of public cloud environments hosting Euna’s production SAAS products. The CloudOps team collaborates with SRE, Development and Architecture teams to marry application and data to the platforms. The Director of CloudOps oversees platform operations and maintenance to provide a service layer to SRE and Development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the updating and configuration of platforms services. Provide strategic and technical leadership to the CloudOps team, including setting the vision and roadmap for public cloud platforms. Participate in conducting post-incident reviews and feedback loops to identify root causes and prevent recurrence for Euna products. Participate in planning for scaling/capacity adjustments for Euna product infrastructure based on usage trends and business input. Participate in designing solutions for resiliency for Euna products and cloud infrastructure. Participate in design solutions for modern product hosting platforms such as: Containerization and Kubernetes. Design solutions for access controls for cloud infrastructure and Euna products, systems and data to align with Security initiatives Design strategies to optimize cloud infrastructure and application costs based on usage trends and business input. Establishing and managing budgets for cloud hosting of Euna products. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CloudOps. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, promote professional development, and ensure effective communication and coordination within the team.

Qualifications:

10+ years of mixed experience in software development and operations, with a proven track record of leading Cloud teams and implementing CloudOps practices, with a focus on AWS and notable experience in Azure. Strong technical expertise in CloudOps practices, methodologies, and tools, such as CI/CD, IaC, configuration management. Strong leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and performance evaluation. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of source control management tools such as Azure CloudOps, or Git. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven track record of taking initiative, taking full ownership for products and services, and recommending solutions.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Education:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
