Choreographer for 9 to 5
Description:
Bentley University’s Arts and Performance Organization (formerly known as Alpha Psi Omega) is seeking a Choreographer for our fall production of 9 to 5 . Production will begin with auditions on September 13th and 14th (or on backup dates of September 6th and 7th), and end with performances on November 14th and 15th (or on backup dates of November 21st and 22nd). After the contract has cleared with the university a will be provided by the University. Housing and transportation will not be provided.
Job Qualifications:
As APO is a group inclusive to all undergraduate students on campus regardless of experience, we are looking for candidates with experience working with college-aged students as well as individuals who have limited experience doing theater productions, dancing, and performing onstage. Expectations are to for the show and encourage the cast to become stronger dancers. Choreographers must also be willing to work with our Vice President of Production, an elected member of our organization who oversees and manages all production aspects of the show (e.g. lighting, sound, props, costumes, hair & makeup, etc.). Their job is to help you execute your vision for the show within the means of our organization. Candidates must also be willing to work with our general Director, as well as Music Director, who will both also be hired for this semester to run rehearsals, teach music, and etc. Preferred candidates reside in the greater-Boston area and have a flexible schedule.
