Percussion Instructor 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 143 Plymouth Street, East Bridgewater, MA 02333 The East Bridgewater Music Department is seeking a part-time Percussion Instructor to join our team!

About Us:

The East Bridgewater Music Program is a program with a strong tradition of excellence. We offer a variety of ensembles, including a competitive marching band in the fall and a Percussion Ensemble in the winter/spring. We are looking for someone with marching band experience who is committed to musical growth and performance.

Responsibilities:

Lead and instruct the drum line in all aspects of marching band performance, including technique, drill execution, and musicality.

Collaborate with the Marching Band Director and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and successful marching band program.

Attend all rehearsals, competitions, and performances.

Select repertoire, lead, and instruct the percussion ensemble during the winter and spring.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all students.

Qualifications:

Extensive percussion experience is required, with marching band experience preferred.

Previous experience with instructing/teaching percussion preferred.

Availability for weekday rehearsals held at East Bridgewater Jr/Sr High School and competitions/parades on weekends in the fall, September-December, as well as once a week January-June.

Ability to tune/replace drum heads and do minor repairs on drumline equipment.

A Bachelor’s degree in music is preferred but not necessary.

Must have strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and community members.

Maintain a high level of ethical behavior.

Ability to motivate and inspire students of all skill levels.

Passion for music education and a commitment to student success.

Experience working with middle and high school students is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Available immediately for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities fall primarily between August and May.
