Director of Music Reports to:
Senior Pastor Director of Music Purpose:
Lead the Music Ministry of Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Coordinate and plan all musical activities for worship in conjunction with the Pastor. Direct the choir during Worship and conduct/supervise musical groups during Worship and other special church gatherings. Supervise staff accompanists and coordinate volunteers. Coordinate music in support of beach services during the summer months and Easter. Schedule and conduct choir rehearsals.
Hours of work:
Part-time, up to 15-20 hours per week. Vacation time is provided. .
Qualifications:
Demonstrate musical abilities with an emphasis on piano. An organ is also available Ability to read music.
Characteristics:
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be enthusiastic, level headed, organized, and creative.
