This is a staff position responsible for working with the Pastor and Worship team to plan and provide music for weekly worship services and special services throughout the year, as well as instrumental in the development, growth and support of the music program. Also support weekly choir rehearsals. Duties Direct, grow and support the music program to include weekly choir rehearsals and special programs Work with soloists, ensembles and guest musicians, as needed. Responsible for providing and/or coordinating music for weddings and funerals of church members. Find creative ways to recruit choir members and enhance the music program. Administrative duties also include maintaining a music library and participation in monthly worship planning and leadership team meetings. This position is responsible for coordinating a backup musician when taking scheduled time off. Opportunity for growth as the music program grows. Qualifications Music degree a plus Prefers prior experience as piano accompanist in a church setting Dependable and enthusiast Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate musicians Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while fostering individual growth.
