This role will be responsible for the growth of the MNRK Music/Dualtone rosters in the Rock, Country, Alt-Country and Americana space.
What You Will Be Doing:
Identifying and signing exceptional artists, with a focus on long-term career development and market impact. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key industry influencers, managers, agents, and other music professionals. Collaborating with artists to shape and execute their musical vision. Providing creative guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the recording process, ensuring that each artist’s sound is unique and resonates with global audiences. Contributing to the development of creative assets, including music videos, promotional materials, and digital content. Building and maintaining relationships with partners, influencers, and industry stakeholders to amplify the record label’s presence. Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics to assess the market for potential new artists for the MNRK/Dualtone rosters. Staying informed about emerging marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in the music industry. Partnering with the Marketing team to develop and execute innovative strategies and release schedules that showcase our artists and roster.
What Makes You Qualified:
7+ years in A&R or related roles, with a strong track record of discovering, developing, and successfully managing artists in the Rock/Country/Americana genres. Proven track record of excellent organizational skills. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of music production, sample clearances, studio culture, and other relevant A&R channels. Passion for music, creativity, and innovation, with a keen awareness of industry trends and developments. Well-established relationships with music professionals, including artists, producers, managers, agents, and label executives. An ability to leverage this network to secure opportunities for the company and its roster. Flexibility to be able to travel on short notice. Deep understanding of the digital commerce space including the DSP and Social Media.
