Position Purpose:

Cumberland University’s Oakley School for the Humanities, Education, and the Arts is seeking applicants demonstrating ability to design and assess curriculum plans that foster rigorous student learning and engagement while enhancing the necessary skills required in adult learners. This position will enhance program strength, course offerings, and student opportunities in the school under the supervision of the Program Director and Dean. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Documentation of successful experience in work with concert and jazz ensembles
Experience in music theory or history instruction.
Strong recruitment skills Experience Documentation of successful experience at the post secondary level
Experience and networking in the Middle Tennessee region preferred but not necessary.

Education:

 Doctoral degree in Instrumental Music Education or closely related field preferred (ABD accepted); Master’s degree minimum.
