The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, particularly in theater, and possess the ability to perform a variety of musical styles. This role is essential for enhancing the overall performance experience and contributing to the artistic vision of our productions. Duties Perform live music during rehearsals and performances, ensuring that all musical elements align with the production’s vision. Collaborate with directors, conductors, and other musicians to create cohesive musical arrangements. Prepare and practice assigned pieces thoroughly to ensure high-quality performances. Adapt music as necessary during live performances to accommodate changes or unexpected situations. Maintain and care for keyboard instruments, ensuring they are in optimal condition for performances. Attend rehearsals regularly and provide input on musical arrangements and performance dynamics. Stay current with new music trends and techniques that may enhance the production’s sound. Requirements Proven experience as a keyboard player, preferably in a theater or live performance setting. Proficiency in playing various styles of music, including classical, jazz, pop, and musical theater. Strong sight-reading skills and the ability to learn new pieces quickly. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A passion for performing arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional musical experiences. Flexibility to adapt to different performance schedules and requirements as needed.
