This vocalist will play a crucial role in leading our congregation in heartfelt, inspiring worship. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our worship leaders and musicians to foster an atmosphere that uplifts, encourages, and connects people with God. This is a part-time, paid position requiring availability on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, with the potential for additional Sundays in the future. About Our Church Christ United Fellowship Orlando is a PCA church whose first public worship began in 2015 in Orlando’s South of Downtown (SODO). We are a gospel-centered, diverse church. We are a place where anyone is welcome to experience and share in the love of Christ. We desire that everyone know Christ and become more like Him! We sing gospel, modern, and classical hymns, contemporary songs with rich theological content, and traditional hymns. Song Selection and Planning—10% Actively contribute to the creative process of worship planning, offering ideas and suggestions for song selections, arrangements, and worship elements. Song Leading—60% Participate in weekly worship services, including rehearsals and sound checks. Sing lead vocals during worship songs, ensuring clarity, pitch accuracy, and emotional connection. Collaborate with worship leaders and musicians to select appropriate songs and arrangements that align with each service’s theme and message. Rehearsals—20% Attend rehearsals with the worship team to prepare for upcoming services. Collaborate with musicians and vocalists to refine arrangements and harmonies. Meetings – 10% Meet regularly with the Director of Music, musicians, and volunteers for planning, encouragement, and team development. Qualifications A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Christ United Fellowship. Agreement with our Statement of Faith and Staff Lifestyle Agreement . Strong, versatile soprano vocal ability with lead singing experience (church setting preferred). Ability to confidently lead congregational singing with emotional connection and vocal excellence. Familiarity with a range of worship styles, including gospel, modern hymns, and contemporary worship songs (or a willingness to learn). Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Reliable, punctual, and prepared for rehearsals and services.
