Are you passionate about worship and discipling the next generation in student ministry? Discovery Church is a multi-campus ministry in Orlando, Florida. We are hiring a full-time Student Next Gen Worship Leader for our Sand Lake Campus. This is a great opportunity to impact a growing student ministry and serve on a high-caliber staff.
Overview:
As the Student Next Gen Worship Leader, you’ll play a key role in launching and leading a vibrant Young Adultmunity at our Sand Lake Campus. In close collaboration with Student Ministry and Worship Staff, you’ll help create an environment w students and young adults can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and step confidently into their God-given purpose. You will also participate in adult weekend services as well.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Worship Leader and point person for Sand Lake Campus Student and Young Adult Worship.
Attend Student Worship Planning Meetings and collaborate with the NextGen Worship Pastor and the Student Worship Team.
Assist in planning worship forbined Student events (UN1TE, Student Camp, Worship Bootcamp, Student Worship Clinics, etc.).
Build worship teams and lead Next Gen worship volunteers (Band, Vocals).
Leading student worship rehearsals, soundchecks, devotions or coaching times, etc.
Serving in non-student specific events (Young Adults, Weekend Worship, Gatherings, Nights of Worship, etc.) Who We are looking for: Passionate about Jesus and discipling others.
Experience in leading a worship team/band.
Vocal ability to lead from the platform.
Basic understanding of Multi-Tracks and Playback principles.
Ability to adapt to various musical styles and student worship trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of Worship Ministry experience (Worship Leadership preferred)
Proficient musician on guitar and/or piano and able to lead from their instrument
