The Acoustic Guitarist will play a crucial role in enhancing our productions, contributing to the overall atmosphere and experience for our audience. This position requires creativity, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other musicians and performers. Duties Perform acoustic guitar pieces during rehearsals and live performances, ensuring high-quality sound and presentation. Collaborate with directors, producers, and other musicians to create cohesive musical arrangements that align with the vision of the production. Attend rehearsals regularly to refine performances and adapt to any changes in the production schedule or setlist. Maintain the acoustic guitar in optimal condition, including tuning, cleaning, and making minor repairs as needed. Engage with the audience during performances, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances their experience. Participate in creative discussions regarding music selection and arrangement for various productions. Skills Proficiency in playing acoustic guitar across various genres, with a strong emphasis on performance techniques. Experience in theater or live performance settings is highly desirable, contributing to an understanding of stage presence and audience engagement. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and adapt to feedback during rehearsals. Ability to read sheet music and understand musical notation is a plus.
