Full Job Description Summary:

Northminster Presbyterian Church in Roswell, GA, in the Atlanta metroplex, is seeking a part-time organist/accompanist. Part-time averaging 15 hours per week, including practice time

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Music; organ major preferred 3 years’ experience in a church setting Ability to sight-read accompaniment of moderate difficulty Ability to play isolated voice parts as requested in rehearsals Ability to play musically while following a conductor

Responsibilities:

Enhance Sunday morning worship through preludes, offertories, postludes, and accompaniment of hymns and anthems using our Rodgers Trillium 967 organ. Enhance additional worship services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday working collegially with the Director of Music and Senior Pastor. Accompany Adult Choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, August through May. Accompany soloists and other choirs, as available. Right of first refusal to play for weddings and funeral services held at Northminster with fee negotiated separately. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.
