St. Matthew s Lutheran Church Kings Mountain, NC 28086 St. Matthew s Lutheran Church, a vibrant and welcoming congregation located in Kings Mountain, NC, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Organist to join our ministry team.
Position Overview:
The Organist will be responsible for providing music that enhances the worship experience of the congregation. This includes regular Sunday services and special occasions throughout the liturgical year.
Primary Responsibilities:
Play organ for the 11:00 AM Sunday worship service each week. Provide music for special services, including but not limited to: Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Other Holy Days and Seasonal Celebrations Provide music for funerals as needed. Collaborate with church leadership, worship teams, and other musicians to ensure music aligns with the liturgical calendar and enhances the spiritual experience.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in organ performance, with a strong background in sacred and liturgical music. Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, choir, and congregation. Reliability and commitment to scheduled services and rehearsals.
Compensation:
Pay will be negotiated with Vinny Hollenberger, President of the Church Council.
