Church Musician Position Available In Union, North Carolina

Church Musician Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church Marshville, NC 28103 The Local Ministry is seeking to hire a part-time musician. Working hours will include Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a variability in additional hours. Church musicians are responsible for performing music services, including weddings and funerals as needed. The responsibilities of the musician will encompass planning musical selections, conducting choir practice, and accompanying other musicians (drummers). The musician is also expected to lead congregational singing and conduct scheduled rehearsals prior to services or performances, ensuring all choir members and musicians are adequately prepared. The position involves training and supervising musicians, as well as participating in Revival week services, Holy Week services, Sunday afternoon services, and weekday evening services when required. Transportation to and from various services may be provided by the church van (if available). Proficiency in teaching and playing by ear is advantageous. The starting salary for this position is $300 per week, with potential opportunities for salary increases and advancement based on performance evaluations.
