Our Social Adult Day Program is seeking a Musician & Activity Leader to create joyful, interactive experiences for older adults through music, arts, games, and meaningful social activities. This full-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys performing, connecting with a group, and keeping a room full of energy and smiles—all while offering a variety of creative programming throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide musical entertainment through live singing, instrumentals, or DJ-style playlists Lead group musical activities: sing-alongs, basic percussion/rhythm, and choral-style participation Facilitate a wide range of daily activities including arts & crafts, themed parties, games, and discussions Make announcements, lead morning welcome routines, and set a positive tone for the day Facilitate theater-based activities, including improvisation, script reading, and performance workshops. Create a safe and inclusive environment where all participants feel valued and encouraged to express themselves. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate schedules and resources for activities. Assist with planning and hosting special events, birthday celebrations, and seasonal gatherings Help maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive atmosphere for all participants
Ideal Candidate:
Musical and creative talent (vocalist, instrumentalist, or both) with performance experience Energetic, confident group leader who enjoys being in front of a crowd Experience working with older adults or in group programming preferred Able to adapt activities to different ability levels with enthusiasm and patience Creative, team-oriented, and dependable Why Join Us?
