Cook’s UMC Worship Apanist Sanctuary apanist (piano and/oran) Responsibilities and Duties Play piano and/oran apaniments for weekly Chancel Choir rehearsals and Sunday traditional worship services. Choose (in consultation with the choral director) and play all music selections for the traditional worship service. Play the pianoan music for special services (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, etc.) in consultation with the worship planning team. Oversee scheduling of Sanctuary Organ and Grand Piano service and upkeep to maintain excellent working condition. Participate fully in Worship Planning Team and as needed with Church Council and attend other meetings as requested by the pastor. Participate occasionally in non-traditional worship service (A plus) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and/or professional music training and experience. Excellent playing skills on piano and/oran. Works well in a team environment; also self-motivated. Spiritual calling that elevates worship. Part-time position, minimum of 12 hours/week. Hours include time for preparation, practicing and playing. Hours would be greater with additional roles. Salary depending on experience and additional roles.
